Join us for a special edition of BlackGirlsHack's "Bring a Hacker to Work Day" featuring Joe Spears, J.D. from HackerOne.
Joe serves as Senior Director of Verification & Risk Monitoring, an internal compliance team responsible for implementing and managing financial crime controls at HackerOne. Joe’s mission at HackerOne is to ensure compliance with applicable sanctions and payment regulations while ensuring HackerOne only works with hackers and customers of the highest ethical standard. Prior to working in cybersecurity, Joe spent eight years in investment and commercial banking as a manager and analyst on sanctions and money laundering investigations. Joe is a graduate of Brooklyn Law School, where he focused on white collar crime and gained valuable experience as second chair in a variety of criminal trials, and Rutgers University where he focused on international relations, economics and philosophy.
In this session Joe will give an overview on cybersecurity terrorism - how it affects the hacking community and its implications for US companies and persons, managing teams in high stress roles and situations, conducting investigations and embracing daunting challenges.
