Want to learn how to set up your new lab? Let's do it but with a twist. In this 2.5 hour lab, students will be shown how to set up a home lab in Google CLoud. We'll cover how to set up a virtual VM network in the cloud

2) How to set up Multi-factor Authentication

3) How to setup Kali Box

4) How to set up vulnerable VM for attack

In this intermediate level lab you'll learn how 

Setting up a home lab in Google Cloud can provide you with a wide range of valuable technical and practical skills that are highly transferable to many roles in the IT and technology sector. Here are the key skills you can develop:

1. Cloud Fundamentals

  • Google Cloud Architecture: Understand core cloud computing concepts specific to GCP, such as regions, zones, projects, and resource hierarchies.
  • GCP Services Proficiency: Gain hands-on experience with GCP services like Compute Engine (VMs), Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).

2. System Administration and Networking

  • Virtual Machine Management: Learn to deploy, configure, and manage virtual machines using Google Compute Engine, along with associated storage and networking configurations.
  • Networking Skills: Configure and manage GCP networking components such as Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), firewall rules, Cloud Load Balancing, Cloud Interconnect, and Cloud DNS.
  • Security Best Practices: Implement GCP-specific security measures like Identity and Access Management (IAM), VPC Service Controls, and Security Command Center.
