Want to learn how to set up your new lab? Let's do it but with a twist. In this 2.5 hour lab, students will be shown how to set up a home lab in Azure. We'll cover how to set up a virtual VM network in the cloud

3) How to setup Kali Box

4) How to set up vulnerable VM for attack

In this intermediate level lab you'll learn how 

Setting up a home lab in Azure can provide you with a wide range of valuable technical and practical skills that are highly transferable to many roles in the IT and technology sector. Here are the key skills you can develop:

1. Cloud Fundamentals

  • Azure Architecture: Understand core cloud concepts such as regions, availability zones, resource groups, scalability, elasticity, and fault tolerance specific to Azure.
  • Azure Services Proficiency: Gain hands-on experience with Azure services like Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Blob Storage, Azure SQL Database, Azure Functions, and Azure Virtual Network.

2. System Administration and Networking

  • Virtual Machine Management: Learn to deploy, configure, and manage virtual machines (VMs) using Azure Virtual Machines and associated services.
  • Networking Skills: Configure and manage Azure networking components, including Azure Virtual Network, Network Security Groups (NSGs), Azure Load Balancer, Azure Firewall, and Azure VPN Gateway.
  • Security Best Practices: Implement Azure-specific security measures, such as Azure Active Directory (AAD), Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Managed Identities, and Azure Security Center.
