BlackGirlsHack is conscious of the need to change demographics in Defensive Security and is developing programs to help bridge the gap and educate its members through a 15-month program called the BGH DFIR Training Program. The program, which require applicants to meet once a week, will provide students with a hands-on approach to incident response including labs, books, instructor led teaching, and exam vouchers for the eight industry certifications including the ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity, Grow with Google, CompTIA Security+, EC Council Digital Forensics Essentials, EnCase Certified Examiner (EnCE), EnCase Certified Computer Examiner (CCE), CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+), eLearn Security Certified Digital Forensics Professional, and Computer Hacking Forensics Investigator(CHFI).
